Self Help – Smile At Your Strengthens And Your Weaknesses

I think that many of us do not like to try new things or go to new places because we do not feel confident about our abilities. It seems that whether it is in sports, business or school most people want to be respected and show how great they are at something. This is a good thing but it leaves out one crucial element that cannot be forgotten. What about all of the time that we and others need to put in in order to become great? No one is born with all of the skills and it really takes time and patience in order to cultivate them.

The way that we have been brought up can be a problem. From an early age we are expected to perform very well and are always graded on everything that we do. Later on we are surrounded by people with fancy degrees and names on the ir business cards and it makes it hard for normal people to fit in. It also gets to a point where numerous individuals become afraid of showing their weakness and their self confidence and esteem goes way down. This is not a healthy way to live and it really does not have to be that way,.

In martial arts we have white belts and black belts but that was not always the case. Long time ago everybody was a white belt and it was through many years of practice that the belts became dirty and turned black. After a period of time the sun fried them and turned them back to white again. Unlike our current environment the period of mastering something and then starting over again was a normal think to do. Wouldn’t it be nice if we were all raised in that way? I believe that it would tremendously cut down an all of the depressed and anxious individuals around the world. There wouldn’t be as much need for all of the mood enhancing drugs either as we would all feel a it better about our inadequacies.

Whenever you see yourself weak at something do not take it too hard on yourself. This is normal and is a natural way of life telling you that you have to improve. It is impossible for us to know everything and that is what training is for. Many of the most knowledgeable people will tell you that the more that they learn that more they realize that they do not know. May of the most world renown scientists follow an idea for many years and eventually give up on it. That does not make them losers but shows character and allows for them to channel that energy elsewhere.
