It is a true fact that each and every person on this planet encounters numerous problems in the due course of his daily life. The way of life has changed dramatically and now it has become fast, competitive and challenging. And where there is a cause, there is an effect. Too much stress has resulted in too much mental fatigue. And mental fatigue has a direct consequence on the physical well-bring. We, thus have to try and make our lives better over-coming these deterrent factors throughout our lives. Teenage is the most delicate age when such deterrent factors play a very decisive role and have the potential to change our lives for a really long time to come. Various Yoga such as Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga help teenagers in dealing with the rapid changes they experience.

The Ultimate objective of Yoga is to attain absolute peace and calm of mind and body. Helping teenagers deal with stress is thus one of the foremost objectives of Yoga. Yoga music has been found to be effective in helping people and especially teenagers deal with stress and mental exertions. It gives them strength, health and flexibility. Hence, Yoga is considered an excellent choice in stress-management. Many teenagers are thus looking up to Yoga as being their best friends in coping with the growing tensions from various facets of life. Through various exercises, postures, breathing exercises, diet, behavior and meditation, teenagers of today are finding Yoga to be their way of de-stressing and being fitter and happier. Meditation music has been tremendous in aiding the entire process of healing from within.

Teens experience a lot of changes in them. And the most common problem that any teenager would face is a dis-balanced emotional health. There are a lot of hormonal imbalances that are under-way as the teen age comes up. Yoga helps these teenagers in dealing with the immense changes that their body undergoes in these growing years. Today, teenagers come across many different challenges both in the academic sphere as well as in peer-groups. In dealing with so many varied problems, Yoga exercises like Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Asthanga Yoga are the best solutions for all the problems.

Yoga along with Yoga Music helps teenagers in battling depression. Disciplined Yoga exercises result in the release of hormones called ‘endorphins’, also known as ‘Happy Hormones’. These hormones tremendously help the practitioner to be calm long after the routine. There is a vicious cycle of tensions. Too much stress leads to muscle tensions and that leads to further anxiety among the teenagers. Without slogging it out in the Gym to get stiffed muscles and then wasting more money in spas, yoga has the calming effect in the mind and body. A Yoga DVD that any teenager would like to go through is Peace of Mind in Stressful Times by Sat Jivan Singh Khalsa. Other prominent artist like Snatam Kaur, Gurmukh have rendered their knowledge in enlighting the lives of thousands of teenagers around the world.

Light of the Sun by Mukti, Liberation’s door by Snatam Kaur, Guru Ganesha Singh and Manish Vyas are popular Music CDs that will help emancipate the lives of teenagers across the world.
Breathing slowly and concentrating while practicing Yoga makes meditating an all the more different experience. Listening to meditation music while practicing Yoga makes meditation an uplifting experience. Music has a power to mend people’s mind away from the daily hum-drum and since there is a lot of stressful thoughts going in teenagers’ mind, meditation becomes all the more necessary.

Managing your stress effectively make take on many different forms. While there are women who choose expensive and more complicated ways to help deal with stress, there are others who employ simpler and less costly means that are no less effective. It just takes commitment and willingness to be able to get rid of stress in the best possible ways available.

Here are some of the practical options on how women can achieve stress management.

Feeling Better at the Exact Moment You Want To

There are times when you may recognize that you are already under a lot of stress. When you need to decrease your stress level at the soonest time possible, there are a number of techniques that you can take on. Known to act considerably fast, these methods can be used so that you would feel better in a less amount of time. Doing these techniques regularly will also bring about better long term benefits.

These techniques include:

* Meditation
* Listening to music
* Breathing exercises
* Yoga
* Reframing your mind with some sense of humor
* Exercise
* Keeping a journal
* Finding perspective in your life
* Doing visualizations

Sustaining the Proper Attitude in Your Daily Life

The stress that you are experiencing could be linked directly to the attitude that you take on daily. Your perception of the daily happenings in your life also brings on added pressure. So here are some good attitude reminders that could help you relieve stress.

* Be optimistic
* Be happy
* Stop feeling like you always need to be in control
* Stop being a perfectionist
* Always maintain positive affirmations in life
* Cultivate a sense of humor
* Let go of your anger
* Have fun
* Let go of thoughts that can cause you stress

Taking Proper Care of Yourself

In moments when we are stressed, women tend to forget to take proper care of their own bodies. This could result in added stress. However, there are ways that can reduce stress levels such as the following:

* Getting proper rest and adequate hours of sleep
* Eating well-balanced and nutritious meals
* Getting plenty of exercise regularly
* Maintaining a healthy sex life
* Indulging in a number of hobbies

Creating the Proper Atmosphere for Daily Living

The emotional and physical environment that you are in could also affect your stress level. Although the effects that your surroundings bring may be subtle, they can become significant in the long run. Here are some ways to alter your atmosphere so that it can bring about stress relief:

* Get rid of the clutter, as too much can affect your sense of calm
* Create a soothing environment by choosing light shades for the colors of your home
* Add some music as this could really soothe the soul and bring more relaxation
* Make your own spa at home
* Use some aromatherapy through the use of scented oils and candles

Career Enhancement Tools

No matter what your career, you will periodically face stressful situations from time to time. Handling stress in the workplace is challenging. Those that manage it well will be top candidates for career advancement.

Stress management requires skills and techniques. These are learned over time in a work environment or through career enhancement courses.

The first effective step in stress management is to “carve” away at it a little at a time. Solving stress issues with a “rip the bandaid off” approach more often than not creates even more stress. Take a step-at-at time approach to solving the issue.

Second, most stress at the office starts at home. Take a look at your personal life. If you can narrow down the issues there as to what is causing the stress you can them begin to work it out slowly. Once things are running better at home they will be better in your work arena, too.

Third, your job and career can be a stressful one. If it is, decide either how you can handle the stress better or think of changing careers. You may need outside help with this decision and this is where a lot of other career enhancement tools come in to play: by providing help and information for this type of decision.

It’s also important to know many people experience severe stress in their careers. You are not alone. Career-minded individuals who are focused on success tend to stick with their jobs over the long haul. In order to advance and prove your value when the next round of promotions come, you must be able to deal with stress effectively.

Finally, a few quick tools to help with stress:

1. Avoid Stress

Stay focused on your work. Exceed expectations by demanding excellence from yourself even if no one else does.

2. Be Organized

Keep a day planner and use it!

3. Talk Less

Professionals focus on doing their work. Gossip creates stress. Playing “he said she said” is not only tacky but dangerous. Danger will cause stress.

These little tools will help while you look for larger and better solutions in handling stress on your way to career advancement. There is also career enhancement information for your use at Career Enhancement Basics.

They say there’s more than one way to skin a cat. The same goes when you start tearing your hair out with all the frustration, grief, anxiety, and yes, stress. It’s a state of mental conditioning that is like taking that bitter pill down your throat, causing you to lose your sense of self, and worse your sanity. Just thinking about it can drive anyone off the edge.

And they say that the proactive ones are already living off the edge.

As one stressed-out person to another, I know how it feels, and believe me there are many variants when it comes to stress. Coping with life, and carrying the problems that may or may not belong to you can scratch away the little joy and happiness that you can carry once you head out that door. You can’t blame them for being like that; they have their own reasons, so much like we have our reasons to allow stress to weigh us down. They say that stress is all in the mind, well, what’s bugging you anyway?

There are several ways to manage stress, and eventually remove it out of your life one of these days. So I’ll try to divide it into a seven-day course for you and I promise it’s not going to be too taxing on the body, as well as on the mind.

1. Acknowledge stress is good
Make stress your friend! Based on the body’s natural “fight or flight” response, that burst of energy will enhance your performance at the right moment. I’ve yet to see a top sportsman totally relaxed before a big competition. Use stress wisely to push yourself that little bit harder when it counts most.

2. Avoid stress sneezers
Stressed people sneeze stress germs indiscriminately and before you know it, you are infected too!

Protect yourself by recognizing stress in others and limiting your contact with them. Or if you’ve got the inclination, play stress doctor and teach them how to better manage themselves.

3. Learn from the best
When people around are losing their head, who keeps calm? What are they doing differently? What is their attitude? What language do they use? Are they trained and experienced?
Figure it out from afar or sit them down for a chat. Learn from the best stress managers and copy what they do.

4. Practice socially acceptable heavy breathing
This is something I’ve learned from a gym instructor: You can trick your body into relaxing by using heavy breathing. Breathe in slowly for a count of 7 then breathe out for a count of 11. Repeat the 7-11 breathing until your heart rate slows down, your sweaty palms dry off and things start to feel more normal.

5. Give stressy thoughts the red light
It is possible to tangle yourself up in a stress knot all by yourself. “If this happens, then that might happen and then we’re all up the creek!” Most of these things never happen, so why waste all that energy worrying needlessly?

Give stress thought-trains the red light and stop them in their tracks. Okay so it might go wrong – how likely is that, and what can you do to prevent it?

6. Know your trigger points and hot spots
Presentations, interviews, meetings, giving difficult feedback, tight deadlinesÖ. My heart rate is cranking up just writing these down!

Make your own list of stress trigger points or hot spots. Be specific. Is it only presentations to a certain audience that get you worked up? Does one project cause more stress than another? Did you drink too much coffee?

Knowing what causes you stress is powerful information, as you can take action to make it less stressful. Do you need to learn some new skills? Do you need extra resources? Do you need to switch to decaf?

7. Burn the candle at one end
Lack of sleep, poor diet and no exercise wreaks havoc on our body and mind. Kind of obvious, but worth mentioning as it’s often ignored as a stress management technique. Listen to your mother and don’t burn the candle at both ends!

So having stress can be a total drag, but that should not hinder us to find the inner peace of mind that we have wanted for a long time. In any case, one could always go to the Bahamas and bask under the summer sun.

When a person is a little stressed, his body reacts and responds in situations instinctively and efficiently. But this can only be true to small dose of stress. When the dose arises, stress becomes unhealthy. It inhibits the person to perform well. With little stress, the body is pushed to work hard. This is in a positive way. While when the body is over stressed, the response is negative.

A person who is stressed out can’t perform normally. His body reacts differently in situations. Stress can even lead to body disorders and illnesses. Because the normal functioning of the body is affected, the person isn’t able to use his natural instincts when facing a situation. He becomes less creative and less efficient.

Battling Stress

Stress can make your life miserable so before it gets worse, you must battle it. The best way to combat stress is the use of stress management therapy. What is a Stress Management Therapy? This refers to the various strategies used by stress specialists and doctors to help people who are stressed out. The goal of stress management therapy is to help a person live life healthfully and stress free.

Why do you need to combat stress? Stress affects the whole personality of a person. It affects a person’s mental ability and sound judgement. It puts his social, emotional, spiritual and physical life in jeopardy. Worst, it can lead to serious health problems like phobias, heart problems and high blood pressure.

Stress management therapy makes sure that you don’t get these negative effects of stress. Generally, stress management therapy involves relaxation, counselling, exercises, yoga, meditation, and time management therapies. The key to combat stress is to manage it. If you can balance your needs and your abilities, there will be less room for stress.

Identification Of Stress

Before you can even start managing stress, you should first identify the factors that trigger stress. The stress management therapy will be based on your stress factor. The therapy will be designed according to your own needs.

Once the stress triggering factors are identified, measures will be taken to help the individual in facing the same circumstances. The stress management therapy may totally eliminate the factor that causes stress or if not, reduce it to a more tolerable level.

Stress management therapy is vital especially today where everywhere there seems to be a tough competition. This makes us want to get the best and thus, we become stressed. Through a stress management therapy, you will be able to enjoy life the stress free way!

Have you ever noticed that people who exercise regularly have more energy, less stress, and seem to get more done in a day than those who do not have the time for exercise? Why does exercise increase your energy level, and how is it possible to be more productive in less time?

As you know, Yoga is more than an exercise; but you will discover solutions for stress management within and any form of Yoga – even the less physical styles. In fact, Yoga is a lifestyle full of methods to relieve you from stress.

People often say they have no time for meditation, breathing correctly (Pranayama), eating correctly, good hygiene, good posture (asanas), giving to others, or praying to God. Most Yoga teachers do not cover all of these Yogic aspects, within their classes, but some do.

The masses have no time for Yoga, or improving their life, but they are full of stress, anxiety, and bad feelings, because they are reacting to life. Yoga practitioners have a pro-active lifestyle, which is much similar to the person who wakes up early to exercise, walk, or run in the early morning.

Most people are reacting to deadlines at work, and home, every day. People often worry about lack of income, finances, and their relationships, because they do not have a plan and see no solution to the never ending cycle of excessive stress.

All of this worrying, stress, anxiety, and lack of positive action, contribute to a variety of ailments, poor quality life, and premature death. So, how does a “stressed out” person begin to design a plan to change his or her lifestyle, before it “gets cut short” by stress?

There are many places to go, and the solutions do not have to take place all at the same time. Writing a list, of what bothers you, is a start. You could list the problems on the left side of your sheet and list possible solutions on the right side of the sheet.

To be honest, Yoga could be the solution to most of your problems, but you have to take action. You have to want to take action, and move in a positive direction for your complete health. Your local Yoga or wellness center probably has most, or all, of the solutions you seek, “under one roof.”

So, why does exercise increase your energy level and how is it possible to be more productive in less time? About increasing productivity: A “spark” of energy from Yoga exercise (Asanas), Sun Salutations, meditation, or Pranayama, in the early morning, will create a positive flow of energy within your body, mind, and spirit, for the rest of the day.

Some would say a coffee will do the same thing. However, if you are not exercising, excessive amounts of coffee will usually cause more stress and anxiety. The body is “screaming” for some form of exercise, if it is full of energy and you sit down all day. If you are exercising regularly, moderate amounts of coffee should be fine.

According to research, music has an intense effect on the human body and mind. Music has healing properties that help ease muscle tension and lift depression. It has been used to help cancer patients, people suffering from post operative stress and even children with ADD. In recent years, music has been used as a powerful tool in therapy sessions to calm the mind and body of patients. Today music is one of the most effective tools for inducing relaxation.

In the current scenario as more and more people fall victims to negative stress, there is high demand for an effective stress management tool that people can use on a daily basis. This is where music comes in. Unlike other stress management tools like meditation, yoga, counseling or massage, listening to music does not require any special time or investment. This is one of the reasons for its popularity as an effective stress management tool.

According to doctors, relaxation music CDs and video can stimulate activity corresponding to its beats in the brain. That is why soothing music encourages contemplation and relaxation. The alterations in brain activity caused by music lead to widespread changes in other bodily functions. Thus music has an impact on breathing and heart rate. Listening to relaxation music CDs and video leads to the activation of relaxation response in the body.

Music effectively counteracts the damaging effects of extreme stress. It can reduce blood pressure, boost immunity and relieve tension in the muscles. Slower breathing and relaxed heart rate brings about relaxation in the body. It is even believed that music has the ability to reduce the risk of stroke and heart related problems. These healing properties of music explain the frequent use of relaxation music CDs and video in therapy and counseling.

There is another reason why music can be effectively used for relaxation. Research has shown that the change music brings in brainwave activity makes it easier for the brain to shift into a calm and meditative state more easily on its own when the need arises in future. Therefore, music has a lasting impact on our response to stress. The power of music does not stop there. People battling with high amounts of negative stress often feel frustration and anxiety. These negative stress responses can wreck havoc on the body, mind and life of people suffering from it. Music can be used to encourage a positive state of mind in people who are stressed out.

With so many beneficial effects on the body and mind, it is little wonder that music is finding a place of pride and importance in mind therapy. Different kinds of music are used for different types of therapy. The music used for relaxation is generally mild and soothing, and it has a calming effect on the body. You may choose instrumental music or music interwoven with positive affirmations to help you ward off the detrimental effects of negative stress. Whatever kind of music you use, it is obvious that music is one of the easiest, most affordable and effective forms of relaxation available to us.

Stress can lead to an eczema outbreak. There is an increased tendency to itch whenever you feel pressurized or unable to cope with the situation at hand. Over a period of time, you can find that your eczema becomes increasingly uncontrollable as you cannot stop the itch. Thus, you can prevent eczema through stress management.

Yet, it will be impractical for me to advise you to avoid stress and hence prevent eczema from happening altogether. We cannot escape stress from our environment today. All of us face stress in one situation or another, almost every other day. Stress is not all the bad. There is good stress, which motivates you. Bad stress is those that cause an overload to your body systems and give rise to a host of health problems. Here is what stress can lead to: mentally or emotionally disruptive or upsetting condition occurring in response to adverse external influences and capable of affecting physical health, usually characterized by increased heart rate, a rise in blood pressure, muscular tension, irritability, and depression.

It is obvious that if you can learn how to manage stress and cope better, you can prevent eczema. Here are some easy ways for you to take action:
– Consider what are the factors that trigger stress for you? Is it work related? Exam related? Are you feeling overwhelmed because you feel that you have too much to do? Then, it is important that you prioritize. Break your tasks into smaller manageable ones. Work out a schedule to reach your goals.
– Have a good laugh. Watch a comedy, read a funny book, listen or tell a joke or describe a hilarious moment to a family member or friend. Laughter is not only a good outlet for stress but it also has a number of health benefits. Laughter activates the immune system, it lower blood pressure, and it triggers the release of the natural painkillers, endorphins, in your body. Laughter also reduces stress hormones, helps reduce pain, allows muscles to relax and is very helpful for the breathing process as frequent bouts of laughter empties air from the lungs.
– Take time out to relax and put your worries aside. It may be getting together with friends, watching a movie or playing a game of tennis. You can also distract yourself with artistic pursuits such as painting, pottery or writing poetry. Finding ways to de-stress can help decrease your flare-ups tremendously, not to mention also improving your quality of life.
– Learn relaxation techniques such as meditation or breathing exercises. This helps you to feel calm and peaceful and not over react unnecessarily to external events. Practice these techniques in the mornings or at night every day.

It is important that you learn how to make peace with stress and keep things in perspective, since you cannot completely escape stress. Prevent eczema by getting less tense. When you feel less tense, you are less likely to have a body reaction including an uncontrollable urge to scratch yourself.
