Everyday imagine a more confident you. See yourself now. How would you look, act and feel. Get into that zone. Make it real in your mind. Practice this everyday. It’s like playing a video in your mind. You will soon behave like this more confident person.

2  Don’t blame circumstances. The sooner you take responsibility for your life you will create your own circumstances

3  Having a positive outlook affects how you view and deal with problems. Is the glass full or half empty?

Ask yourself positive questions. For example, How can I turn this around rather that why does happen to me? Your mind will look for the answer whatever you ask so ask the right question

There is no such thing as failure, only feedback. Failure is a common term used by society and there is no such thing. Successful people have setbacks but do label this failure. They learn and move forward and make a better future for themselves.

• Make rules for yourself to make it easy to succeed

• Speak to yourself in a confidence tone.

• Don’t be afraid of other people’s opinions. Does it really matter what strangers think. I know people who do or don’t do things in their life because they’re worried about what others think. Do your thing. Remember you’re a unique person with special talents. I’m not telling you to rebel or break the law but don’t worry too much about the opinions of others, just those people who matter most.

• There’s no such thing as failure only feedback. Do you think ‘successful’ people never have setbacks? Of course they do, just like you and me. The difference is how they deal with it. I know people who don’t attempt anything because they took criticism the wrong way or they are afraid they might be laughed at. Use this as constructive feedback and move forward. There’s an old saying ‘In life you regret the things you don’t do rather than the things you actually do’

• Stop making excuses and take responsibility for you’re own life. Try not to use outside factors as excuse for not achieving your Dream.

I have some great news for you my friend. I know there are times in the past or indeed occasions in the future where that little bit of confidence is needed. I should know I have been there. Now however I have learned to deal with life’s challenges in a whole new way by following a few simple rules. That is why I want to show you how to get better confidence and self esteem.

1. Think in a positive perspective. If you’re in what seems like a difficult position or you’re expecting one in the future, maybe start looking at it from a different angle. For example, ask yourself ‘how can I make this better?’ or what about ‘how can I enjoy this process?’ Your mind will automatically search for answers.

2. There is no such thing as failure, only feedback. If your business isn’t going well then maybe you should change something, for example, if customers are complaining then you can use this as vital feedback rather than seeing it as personal criticism. You’re not a failure. If that girl or guy turned you down, does that make you a failure? Of course not. Maybe they don’t appreciate what you have to offer. Successful people have setbacks but have learned how to have better confidence and self esteem and this has helped them respond in the right way.

3. Use visualisation techniques. See yourself achieving your goals. Did you ever hear someone say ‘Oh? I couldn’t see myself doing that.’ That certainly doesn’t help. If you take time out to visualise you being successful and achieving your goals then there is a greater chance of this coming through.

4. Live in the moment. OK here’s the deal. The past has happened, you can’t change that and future has yet to happen. So where does that leave you. The answer is that the only time there is the present moment. Try to live for the here and now. Too many people miss the beauty right in front of them in the present moment because their mind is elsewhere, in the past or the future. If you’re in the present moment you can respond better to any challenges that may come your way.

5. Make some easy rules to succeed. I’ll give you an example. Some people say ‘I’ll be happy when I get £1 million pounds. What they’re effectively saying that until it happens they wouldn’t be happy. Why not make a rule like ‘I’ll be happy when people smile at me’ that makes it easier to experience happiness.

If you currently believe that having a lot of money is bad yet you want to have a highly profitable business there is a contradiction. Change beliefs to suit your goals.

Positive perspective– Is your glass half empty or half full. Have you ever met someone who maybe has suffered a tragedy and you wonder ‘why are they so happy.’ Well its quite simply because they choose to be happy, they have decided to focus on the positive things in life and believe me there are many great things in this life.

You are in control– Always remember this. You cannot control things like the weather and the outside world but you can control how you react to it. Why let the weather dictate how you feel when you have no control over it.

Exercise, breathing, posture– your body and mind are inextricably linked. So if you learn to control your breathing it can relax you when you feel nervous or lacking confidence. Take deep breaths. Also regular exercise can help you become a more confident. Remember the old saying ‘A healthly body makes a healthy mind.’

Play videos in your head– you’re the star of the show! If you frequently envisage yourself achieving your goals and being a more confident person you can do this playing this in your mind regularly. Soon it can become a reality.

Everyone has qualities deep inside of them yet to be explored. Sometimes, low self esteem can cause these qualities to be overlooked. Take notes on what you like most about each subject, and which you’d like to further pursue.

Now that you have a few choices that you would clearly enjoy pursuing, the building self esteem part is easy. Grab a few books from your local library, and turn yourself into an expert on one of your favorite subjects. Of course, the term “expert” is used loosely,but you’ll be surprised what you can teach yourself when you have a genuine interest in something. As you learn, you’ll be able to teach friends and family, which I’ve found to be one of the most amazing feelings. You’ll feel more confident in yourself, your vocabulary will begin to expand through reading, and you’ll feel your self esteem beginning to rise. Book after book I’ve trudged through everything from golf to graphic design, ultimately ending up finding more than enough topics I’m highly interested in. I pride myself on learning new things in my field everyday, and my self esteem shows it. I’m sure you’ll find that by learning more and more, you’ll feel better and better about yourself as you go.

The internet is a vast ocean of information, and it’s very easy to find forums and chat rooms designed for very specific topics. Once you learn enough to know the lingo, find the true experts in your chosen field and lay down some of your new found knowledge. You’ll build valuable contacts and continue to grow your knowledge base day by day. Leave comments, post blogs, and get your feet wet in the community.
