Self Esteem: 10 Techniques to Quickly Shift Your Energy

During times of great change it can be a daunting task to stay centered and positive. When the things that we see as permanent begin to crumble it?s common to experience self doubt. Try any of these techniques to shift your vibration and anchor positive self esteem.

1. Be a Complaint Free Zone- become aware of how you communicate, put a bracelet on your wrist or stone in your pocket, and each time you gossip or complain, move the stone or bracelet to the other side. The bracelet or stone acts as a physical reminder to use kinder more positive language. The goal here is to go 21 days without complaining. Most people are amazed at how much they complain. A complaint or gossiping is negative energy that is mirrored back to your self-esteem.

2. Forgive Yourself – the past is the past, the present moment is your point of power. When you release yourself from guilt about past actions you free up energy and boost your self esteem with the power of acceptance. Close your eyes, take a deep breath. Think of a situation that you feel guilty about. Repeat the following phrase until you feel the guilt ease. I love you, I?m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you.

3. Start a Gratitude Journal – each day, write down five new things that you’re grateful for that day. They can be big or small, what you’re doing here is creating an atmosphere of positive belief that helps you feel good about yourself and boost your self-esteem.

4.Ask for Positive Feedback – asked 10 friends or family members to list your top three strengths. Often times, we can’t see our own strengths clearly, we simply take them for granted. By having others point them out to you, you?re able to honor and celebrate them.

5. Put Negative Nellie on Mute – We all have those little voices in our head chanting negative messages. Negative Nellie often stops us, and drains our self-esteem. Quieting Negative Nellie is essential to healthy self-esteem. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and imagine a radio control, the volume is turned all the way up, you can hear the loud chattering of Negative Nellie, imagine reaching forward and turning the dial quieting the voice of Negative Nellie. Now, turn that dial all the way to zero and push the button off. Imagine your Negative Nellie scampering away because it has no way to voice it’sr negative beliefs. In the silence, experience the freedom from all the chattering in your mind. Savor this feeling; know that you can turn the volume down anytime you wish.

6. Breathe – breathe in a warm hug of love and exhale any blame, faults, and frustrations. Repeat until you find yourself breathing in love, and breathing out love.

7. Connect with Nature – by appreciating the beauty that surrounds you you?re seeing the good. Connecting with nature allows you to tap into the peace and magnificence that silently surrounds you.

8. The Essence of Me – each day, write down 3 great things about yourself. They can be anything: a smile you gave the checkout clerk at the grocery store; the way you tended to your child’s skinned knee; your pretty toenails; anything that makes you feel good about yourself. This celebrates the essence of you and boosts your self-esteem.

9. Confident You – imagine a situation (real or imagined) where you were in your most confident, self assured state. Breathe in that feeling, letting the feeling flow through you. Keep breathing in the feeling allowing it to move through every cell of your body. Now, squeeze your pinky finger and thumb as you take one more breath, allowing the body to absorb the feeling and anchoring that feeling in your body by squeezing your pinky and thumb. Release your fingers take another deep breath. Next time you need a quick dose of self-confidence squeeze your pinky and thumb together and allow the feeling wash over you again.

10. List of High Regards – make a list of 25 achievements you’ve made big and small, anything goes, if you felt a sense of accomplishment add it to the list. Things like graduating high school, landing a job, speaking up to Uncle Ron, giving birth to your children. Keep this list and a visible spot and continued to add to it, read over it, and acknowledge what it took to accomplish these things.

How To Quickly Build Self-Confidence And Self-Esteem

It sucks to have low self-esteem. If you want to build self-confidence to banish these depressing feelings and finally become a popular person, follows these tips to quickly boost your self-esteem:

    1. Do an exercise routine. Exercise releases what I think of as self-esteem-enhancing hormones. Just running or lifting weights instantly makes you feel better about yourself. You’ll also feel great about yourself once you see an attractive figure in the mirror.

If you don’t yet exercise, start out with brisk walking for 15 minutes a day, 3 times per week. Work your way up to 30 minutes 6 days a week. Make it a ritual.

I also encourage you to build strength. Even if you’re not a muscle-head, lift weights. The added physical strength adds to your psychological strength.

    2. Reduce self-analysis. Low self-esteem individuals tend to suffer from social anxiety. A pre-cursor to social anxiety is self-obsession where the person continues to think about himself or herself.

No one thinks about you as much as you. Know that most people in conversations are more concerned about how you think of them than their perception of you.

If you want to be self-conscious, focus on other people. What a counterintuitive lesson! Once you focus on other people and reduce self-analysis, you begin saying and doing the right things. Also doing activities that make you focus and hold your attention can quickly boost your confidence.

    3. Accept mistakes. A baby tries to walk, falls over, and gets up to try again. If it gave up like so many people with poor self-esteem, it would never learn to walk.

Please accept your mistakes if you want to build self-confidence. There is no failure, only feedback. When you really believe and accept this, you use failure to build confidence – another counterintuitive lesson.

Nobel Prize writer George Bernard Shaw said, “When I was young I observed that nine out of every ten things I did were failures, so I did ten times more work.”

That’s what building a high self-esteem is all about. Everyone fails, gets rejected, and feels humiliated at times. What matters is how you react to what life presents you.

The moment self-esteem-diminishing situation arises, ask yourself, “What would a confident person do in this situation?” The answer to that is the quickest way to build unstoppable confidence.

3 Unbeatable Tips For Improving Self Esteem Quickly And Effectively

Self esteem plays an important part in a person’s life. A positive level of self esteem enables a person to do practically anything they set out for themselves. It is also imperative in order for a person to live their lives to the fullest. People with high self esteem tend to enjoy life more than those who have low self esteem. However, you may be surprised to find out that a majority of the world’s population have issues with self esteem. Even the high profile celebrities you may have read about in the newspapers are susceptible to self esteem issues.

This article aims to enlighten readers on 3 ways of how a person can improve self esteem quickly and effectively.

The first thing you should know is that negative energy is not conducive for a positive level of self esteem. Rid yourself of all negative thoughts, and fill your mind with happy ones, about yourself and your past successes. Doing this will help you overcome your insecurities and any thoughts of shortcomings you may have about yourself, which can affect your self esteem considerably.

Also, keep your mind active by doing both physical and mental exercises. The old saying, “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop” may seem cliché, but nothing is ever truer. A mind that is stagnant for a considerable amount of time is susceptible to negative influence and thoughts. If your mind is kept busy and active, you would have no room for negative or even self destructive thoughts. An active lifestyle will go a long way in keeping your mind active and fresh, and in turn boost your self esteem in the long run.

When setting goals for yourself, do not have too lofty an ambition, because the higher you set your goals, the more devastating your disappointment if you were to fail. Set small, achievable goals leading up to your one big goal at the end of your achievement horizon. Treat them as milestones of a journey towards your ultimate destination. Each accomplished milestone will serve as a confidence booster as you work towards your ultimate goal.

Do not be disheartened by mistakes or failures. Whenever you stumble in your journey toward success, treat your setbacks as learning experience. Accept the mistakes made as a fact of life. Always adhere to the following: Failure is only preparation for eventual success. You cannot be afraid of making mistakes, because those who do not make mistakes are often those who do not take action to begin with. Take each mistake in stride and you will make great strides in improving your self esteem.

So if you have ever experienced self esteem issues, you might like to give the 3 abovementioned tips a try. Remember, self esteem plays a large part in how we live our lives, and if we are to succeed and get ahead in our life and our endeavors, we need to ensure that we have a positive, clear mindset. And the way to achieve this is to improve our self esteem.

5 Problems Solved Quickly By Using Voice Overs, to Do Slide Shows

Remember sitting in a classroom watching a slideshow that took an eon to endure? The teacher or presenter would succeed in capturing your attention and then try to keep it as they heroically plowed through a monotonous cycle of clicking as the fan chugged along with a gentle hum whose uncanny ability to make you sleep was second to none.

Click, next point, click, boring spiel, click, click, click… and you’re off to greener pastures doodling in a notebook, etching your name into a desk or drooling on your books.

For whatever reason (maybe the ones above may suffice), people in today’s society have given the slideshow a bad name, calling it obscenities like “ridiculous”, “a drag”, and the oh so clever “boring!”

Why do you think that is?

Maybe it’s because slideshows, at least the ones from twenty or thirty years ago, are passe and stink of film canisters with eruditely written content draped in intellectual garb that are sadly, under regular circumstances, not attractive or consumable to the average person.

Don’t get me wrong, (I love vintage media), but when it has lost its ability to reach an audience, it’s time to jazz it up, especially in our generation where everything needs to be relevant, immediate and packaged in a way that people can identify with and perceive as valuable.

Why else would they spend their time on it? There’s so much more out there and believe you me, there’s more out there to distract someone that pose challenges to keeping a steady focus.

Fortunately for the academe, new technologies have come to the proverbial rescue and have made it easier to get attention, keep it and instill knowledge.

Gone are the days (in most places) of the old guard imposing point and click presentations. Our world is now full of rich multimedia audio visual productions that wow and stimulate audiences. They teach, they captivate and they entertain.

However, you might say that the content presented is only as good as the presenter is an entertainer, or, narrator.

Again, and most fortunately for us, technology has provided yet another way to aid poor presenters by employing the addition of a “choose your own adventure” style solution that is entertaining, effective and persuasive… dare I say, even interactive.

    What is this catalyst?

    Voice over narration.

You see, the use of voice over solves nearly all of the problems a presenter faces in the heat of battle:

A voice over connects deeply with listeners.

A voice over doesn’t get tired, clear their throat, take break to drink, or have stage fright.

A voice over won’t get lost in the presentation or stumble on words.

A voice over makes points clearly and effectively.

A voice over finds a way to enliven the words so that you don’t have to

When looking for someone to narrate your powerpoint presentation or slideshow, check out the voice over marketplace online to find the right voice for your project.

There are literally thousands of people out there who do this for a living so you won’t have any trouble locating a professional voice talent. Either do a search using your favorite browser or just go straight to Voices.com and use the voice talent search engine, browse demos or post a job for best results.
